The first time I found out I love wedding photography was when Ilona and I looked for our own wedding photographer. I was stoked of the lack of wedding photographers that really understood what real moments were in our humble opinion.
I discovered my love of photography when I was on the side of the camera, being photographed for our wedding. No, I still don’t think I’d like to be photographed and I think a lot of couples that I met feel the same way too. They are doing it because it’s simply they want to treasure this special moment. So I am no different to the other couple 
I am not a very big fan in following the trends, I am just doing all of this because of my responsibility to God who entrusted this talent to me. I try to create something that is timeless classic with some modern touch. I love photojournalism photo that makes me want to cry for someone that I don’t know. But I also understand every couple wants to be photographed at their best look, after all this is their wedding day.
So it doesn’t come any surprise that my style is about “I just shoot the weddings as if they were my weddings. I believe every wedding is unique. Thus, I kept asking myself prior to and during the wedding, if I were the couple, what sort of wedding photo they’d love to remember”. That’s why I put importance in knowing who the couple are before the wedding day. That’s the key to my works.
After several years of shooting more than a hundred of wedding in still pictures assignment, I started my motion pictures career in the late of 2009. Being a movie producer is something that I have been dreaming of since I was kid. I love how I soaked myself watching the movie that’s full of stories.
The style in my motion picture works is no different to my still picture works. I emphasise the importance of getting the real story of something that the couple can proudly tell to their kids or grandkids. So it must be real with some beauty and artistic flair.
During my spare time, I also formed a non-profit website Wiki School Pedia to participate in aiming to improve the wedding photography standard in Asia Pacific region.
Some of my current education career highlight was that I’ve been a main speaker in several workshops/seminars in Malaysia and Indonesia in 2010. Please see more of my ambitions to inspire other photographers under “For photographers” if you are interested.
